Be it enacted the  Pari mutuel Gamecock boxing  Act:  in conjunction with the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission.

Since  the traditional cockfighting was banned last year. Senator Shurden  recently filed the bill to use  Non lethal cock  boxing which uses electronic vest..  A similar invention by a Fil Am  was published by the Philippine Intellectual Office in its Official Gazette  Vol V11 No. 3 ,July 05 2004,  entitled  Rooster Electronic Boxing which does not use vest. The prototypes were developed by the Don Bosco Technical College, Mandaluyong City., R.P.

Betting in Oklahoma is formulated with Pari mutuel  Horse Racing Commission. Cockboxing was demonstrated in the internet on line at Cockfightsonline.com. Rooster Electronic Boxing  was demonstrated in Guam at Channel 12 in Popoy Zamora “ Buhay Pinoy”. In Guam , CCTV roostertronics on line can be complimented with the Greyhound racing by leasing  its unused morning schedule  and/or in between  racing time.

When cockfighting can be made non cruel and humane , a move will be initiated to  exempt rooster electronic boxing from the ban.  Europe loves boxing. It shall be mandatory for roosters coming from foreign countries to be vaccinated and place on quarantine before being allowed to be fought in WRC.  . In  the United States, cockfighting using the deadly knife is still legal in New Mexico , Louisiana. Guam, the Virgin Islands as well as  allowed in Saipan, Rota and Tinian.  . Cockfighting is allowed in 2 provinces in France. and   areas in Spain  and so with China, Russia , from  Afghanistan  in the middle East to south East Asia to Latin America.

System Feasibility Studies

The Don |Bosco Technical College has prepared the Roostertronic System feasibility studies and therein developed 2 working prototypes namely the stand alone and the transmitter receiver pair for a humane non lethal cockfighting. Humane fishing is under study. The initial test of the humane rooster electronic Boxing  showing 2 rooster in combat with electronic glove attached to the leg of the rooster transmitting scores to a receiver score board with a timer  is available in CD for viewing.

World Trade Organization “WTO” on internet Gambling:

Nov. 10.  2004 in a ruling that could open the United States to  offshore Internet gambling, a World Trade Organization panel that met Nov 10 in Switzerland, said ,

Congress should stop prohibitions on Americans who placed bets through online casinos.

OKLAHOMA CITY (Reuters) — An Oklahoma senator hopes to revive cockfighting in the state by putting tiny boxing gloves on the roosters instead of razors.

The Oklahoma legislature outlawed the blood sport in 2002 because of its cruelty to the roosters, which are slashed and pecked to death while human spectators bet on the outcome.

But State Sen. Frank Shurden, a Democrat from Henryetta and a long-time defender of cockfighting, said the ban had wiped out a $100-million business.

To try to revive it, he has proposed that roosters wear little boxing gloves attached to their spurs, as well as lightweight, chicken-sized vests configured with electronic sensors to record hits and help keep score.

“It’s like the fencing that you see on the Olympics, you know, where they have little balls on the ends of the swords and the fencers wear vests,” said Shurden. “That’s the same application that would be applied to the roosters.”

Janet Halliburton, president of the Oklahoma Coalition Against Cockfighting, which led the drive for the 2002 law, said Shurden is really seeking to loosen the ban.

“What this is going to do is make a platform for him to continually try to amend the existing ban,” Halliburton told The Oklahoman newspaper.

The State Senate will consider Shurden’s proposal next month.
